Dr. Barnes-Jones graduated from Life University magna cum laude in June 2017, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He then spent three years in the Finger Lakes region of New York completing a diagnostic imaging residency at the Northeast College of Health Science (formerly the New York College of Chiropractic), which entailed all aspects of radiology with a strong focus on musculoskeletal imaging.
While in New York, Dr. Barnes-Jones earned a Master of Science (MS) degree and completed a thesis on the topic of post-traumatic cervical spine instability. In the Summer of 2020, Dr. Barnes-Jones made history, where he became the first African American male to earn diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR) and the only candidate in the country to earn board certification in 2020. In addition to his diagnostic image consultant duties, Dr. Barnes-Jones maintains a chiropractic practice as a member of the Thryve Wellness Group (twgatl.com), located in Marietta, GA. He serves as the official chiropractor for the tech enterprise RIISE Ventures, [3:5] Creative(s), and Jones Associates and Enterprises. He is also an Assistant Professor and Clinical Radiologist for the Life University Chiropractic Centers in Marietta, GA.
Dr. Barnes-Jones grew up in St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands and spent a significant amount of time living throughout the southeastern United States. He is an avid sports fan and can often be seen or heard cheering on the Auburn University Tigers and Atlanta United. In his spare time, Dr. Barnes-Jones loves to travel, spend time with his family, engage in local and national politics, as well as giving back to his community through various service projects.
